Upwards of 400 job seekers attended a job fair at Spray Lake Sawmills Centre (SLS Centre) last night.
Cochrane Economic Development, the Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce and Prospect Human Services teamed up to host the event.
Heidi Lane, workforce advisor with Prospect Human Services says it was great to see a lot of newcomers to the area attend.
"I think we always see a good amount of newcomers at our job fairs, which is great. I hope to be able to help bridge that gap."
There were a variety of groups that came through.
"We've seen a big range in ages, folks who are returning from retirement and other job seekers who are looking for their first job."
Nearly 30 organizations were on hand to meet with job seekers.
Prospect Human Services will hold a job fair in Airdrie on April 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Genesis Place.
