Cochrane Fire Services were kept busy this morning (September 8) as they battled a residential fire in the community of Bow Meadows.

Cochrane Fire Chief, David Humphrey, says the call came in at around 8:15 am at 22 Bow Close and the investigation is ongoing. "There was fairly significant damage to the home on the main floor."

Fifteen suppression personnel attended the fire including a truck from the county which was used as a mutual aid unit. Chief Humphrey reports that the crew was able to contain the fire to the interior part of the residence with no impact to neighbouring homes.

Homeowners were not at home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

The Chief was working with the family and is hoping to have results from the investigation later today.
