Downtown Cochrane will be bustling with activity on Saturday, August 14 as Cochrane Food Fest gets underway.

The event will see an increase in foot traffic as well as food vendors, and entertainment setting up shop.

Organizers say that "a small section of Grande Boulevard, between Railway Street and Bow Street, will be closed on Saturday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m" and motorists will need to take an alternate route.

Onsite parking isn't available during the event, and organizers are encouraging people to instead ride their bikes to get there. As an incentive, they will be handing out a $5 food voucher to the first 100 families on bike.

The event is taking place over a section of Grand Boulevard and in the parking lot next to the Cochrane Public Library.

Library access will also be limited throughout the day.
