All the excitement and planning leading up to the first in-person graduation in two years saw the largest graduating class to date.

Bow Valley High Schools' graduation convocation celebrated 192 students and the event is now a memory with many pictures and videos to mark the very special occasion.

The weather even cooperated to allow for outdoor photos.

The convocation was held at the Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary and then everyone was able to return to Cochrane and stay in Cochrane for the banquet.

Guest speakers included Rocky View Schools' Superintendent, Greg Luterbach, RVS Board Chair Fionna Gilbert (who was also there as a mom to a graduating student), BVHS Prinicipal Jim Reilly, and Anthony Bearspaw of the Bearspaw Nation Council.

Mr. Scott Thompson was the Master of Ceremonies.

Each year the graduating class invites a teacher or influential person who has left the BVHS community to return and speak and this year it was Ms. Tara Sly who is now Assistant Principal at Fireside School.

Valedictorian, Toby Carter delivered a poignant speech to an attentive audience.

Then came the big moments of receiving the diplomas and tossing the hats.

It is now time to finish the home stretch and prepare for exams.

Congratulations to Bow Valley High School Class of 2022.
