Cochranites still have time to plug their favourite small local business and charity in an online contest being held by Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards.

Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic,  Richards says that small business owners and local charities are voicing their concerns over the provincial restrictions, and how they continue to affect them.

Recognizing how deeply local businesses and charities have been impacted, Richards wants to help to promote them, by asking constituents to head to his Facebook Page and spread some love.

He is asking constituents in Cochrane, Airdrie, Crossfield, and Canmore to share the name of a business or charity they love and shout from the rooftops why they are so great.

To take part in the contest, and help support a local business or charity all you have to do is share the name and photo of your favourite small business or local charity on the pinned post on Richards’ Facebook page.

Constituents can then, fill out the entry form to qualify for a random draw at the end of the month. Richards' office will be making a draw on March 31, 2021, for local services as well as prizes from local businesses.

So far Cochranites have plugged Eurythmics Dance Studio located on Railway Street in Cochrane. Many residents from Airdrie and Crossfield are also taking advantage of the free advertising to show their support.

The contest wraps up on March 31, 2021, and the link can also be found on Richards' website
