If you would like to have a say on important decisions that affect the Cochrane community, now is your chance.

Cochrane’s Town Council is currently recruiting 11 members of the public for five Boards, Commissions and Committees.

Each fall, public-at-large (PAL) members are recruited for various positions representing various civic interests and mandates. 

The current openings are as follows:

  • Four vacancies on the Assessment Review Board
  • Two positions available on the Cochrane Library Board
  • One vacancy on the Cochrane Planning Commission
  • Two positions available on the Family & Community Support Services Advisory Board
  • Two vacancies on the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

The Town is looking for candidates who are passionate about Cochrane and have a desire to give back to the community.

Successful candidates should be interested in the legislative process, have experience / relevant qualifications as well as the necessary time commitment. Town officials say they're committed to inclusion and equity and they encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

To apply you must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Cochrane.
