Calgary officials reached out to the Town of Cochrane yesterday afternoon in search of bulk water for some critical construction projects.

Shane Hubl, Cochrane director of operations services, says they've given the city the go-ahead and says it won't hinder our needs in Cochrane.

With Calgary under Level 4 water restriction, there are currently no bulk water sales in the city.

"The cities project managers reach out to us and asked if there was the availability for water?" says Hubl. "So, we've provided them water through our bulk fill station."

Since the major waterline break in Calgary, Hubl says the town has roughly seen a doubling of bulk water sales. They suspect it's not just Calgary, but other communities impacted by the Calgary water emergency.

"It's been very busy at our bulk fill stations with people filling up," he says.

The town offers bulk sales in two locations.
