Cochrane RCMP have two males in custody after break-ins to vehicles in Turner Valley. 

At 2:40 am residents in Turner Valley were awoken to two individuals breaking into vehicles and a home.  

Turner Valley RCMP located the vehicle involved in the thefts leaving the area at a high rate of speed and alerted local detachments. 

Corporal Troy Savinkoff with the Cochrane RCMP says they later located the vehicle. He says "The Cochrane RCMP were making patrols in the Bragg Creek area and located the vehicle travelling down highway 22 at an extremely high speed. The Cochrane RCMP made the determination that it was too dangerous to engage the vehicle and let it go."

The vehicle was again located In Springbank pulled over on the side of the road as it had run out of gas.

Savinkoff says "They did later locate the vehicle on Springbank road. they were able to take custody of one suspect at the vehicle and then engage RCMP police dog services and located the second individual hiding inside a doghouse in Springbank."

The vehicle involved had been reported stolen in Banff one week earlier. 

The two Calgary residents arrested are facing multiple charges including Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Flight From Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Breaching conditions of release. Further charges a pending which include theft, attempted theft of a motor vehicle and breaking and entering into a residence. 

The two males are awaiting hearings to determine their release at which time names will be provided.
