The United for Cochrane campaign is happening today at Cochrane's McDonald's.

The United Way, Cochrane FCSS and McDonald's team up every year for this campaign that raises money for local non-profit social agencies in our town.

Cochrane FCSS Manager Kim Krawec says they've had a partnership with McDonalds for a long time.

Krawec says " one dollar from every Big Mac, Happy Meal or specialty coffee purchased from McDonalds goes back to the United Way. So every dollar raised in Cochrane stays in Cochrane and supports a whole variety of non profit organizations in our community."

She says they've supported numerous organizations over the years including low-income individuals and families, organizations that help to increase social connections and programs that address bullying.

Organizers will be at McDonalds today wearing superhero capes!

Last year the United for Cochrane campaign raised over $2,000.
