Work at Cochrane's busiest intersection has kicked off.
It's been years in the making, but the long-awaited construction project at the 1A/22 interchange has begun.
This new interchange will significantly improve the flow of traffic and make room for Cochrane's continued growth.
The partial cloverleaf project will take approximately three years to complete.
Drivers should expect to see construction trailers in the area as well as excavation and movement of materials.
There are no major traffic delays expected over the next while.
Motorists are being reminded to follow all traffic rules, and obey the speed limit as workers will be present.
