The second meeting for 100 Men Who Give a Damn is right around the corner.

The growing chapter is looking to engage men of all ages for a night of networking, socializing, and collective giving.

Rob Miller, Co-Organizer of the Cochrane Chapter, says it will be great to see how their first donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area  was utilized.

"The biggest thing is having our first recipient return and enlighten us on how they used the money we raised in the last meeting."

100 Men Who Give a Damn raised $3200 for the Cochrane organization in just over one hour.

Miller is hoping to see attendance grow from the 32 contributing members at their first meeting. Although it may be trickier to get a group of men together for the evening, Miller was impressed with the group that came out.

"I like to think the folks that are coming and would be interested in becoming members are sort of like minded, they are all coming out for the right reason. Their hearts are in the right place and they want to give back to the community."

The premise for 100 Men is simple; in just over one hour, members come together to collectively vote and contribute to an organization benefiting the Cochrane area.

Miller says although it would be incredible to double membership, he is just happy to see more community minded men come together.

"I would love to double but that may be a stretch. We are always encouraging to just bring one person to the next meeting, any number higher than the last is a step in the right direction."

All men, of all ages, are welcome to join Miller and the 100 Men at Killarney's, December 7, 7pm.
