Wednesday, April 14 saw another day of rising COVID19 numbers.

The province reported 1,412 new cases, an increase of 331 cases in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate is 9.1 per cent.

There are now 15,569 active cases in the province.

There are now 420 people in the hospital, an increase of 18 since yesterday. There are 92 in ICU which is an increase of four.

Sadly, eight more deaths have been reported bringing that grim total to 2,029 in the province. 

Rocky View County saw a drop of five cases for a total of 206 and Cochrane added one case for a total of 138 active COVID-19 cases. 

The province surpassed one million doses of vaccine being delivered to Albertans as of Tuesday, April 13.

Nearly 18.1 per cent of Albertans now have some protection against COVID-19.
