The Annual Seniors Wishlist Program has been operating for the past 4 years and this year, for the first time, branched into Cochrane.

With the help of Facebook, Cochrane Toyota, and the Cochrane Public Library and of course Cochrane residents, the response has been overwhelming.

On Wednesday, December 2, the volunteers with the Seniors Wishlist Program delivered a Cochrane Toyota van load of gifts to Bethany Cochrane. Each of the 108 residents will received a brightly packaged gift valued at $25 and labelled for a male or female resident.

The Seniors Wishlist Program Founder, Lisa Fibkey says, "It's been our mission to serve our seniors. Our kids always get thought of, seniors are left behind. So, we decided to make it a mission and Bethany Cochrane is one of the many manors that we serve."

Cheryl DeMaere-Ellis, Southern Representative for the Annual Seniors Wishlist Program, has a personal tie to Bethany Cochrane as her mom is a resident there. She says that Cochrane really stepped up for the program and its first time in Cochrane. "I just want to say a big thank-you to all the residents of Cochrane. This would not happen without the residents of Cochrane joining in and fulfilling our dream for our seniors."

Big Hill Lodge and Points West in Cochrane are the next stop for the program. If you are wanting to donate to the Annual Seniors Wishlist Program you can click here to go to their Facebook page
