The weather forecast couldn't look better for the 2nd Annual Arts, Eats & Beats Festival taking place this weekend.

“This is our second year doing the event and we’re thrilled to bring the community and visitors together to explore our local businesses while enjoying music, food and artists. Bragg Creek is becoming the next hot-spot for Calgarians and neighbouring communities to visit and the Arts, Eats & Beats Festival is a family free event that has something for everyone,” said Sherri Olsen, Chair of the Bragg Creek & Area Chamber of Commerce.

It's the perfect opportunity for people to check out the area.

"You will receive a map of the hamlet with all the stores marked, and a brochure that tells you the times and the artists of when they're playing, as well as the different shops and local cuisine that's being offered. You will also receive a passport where you will go in and get a stamp on the passport, fill it out, and put it in a box at the end of the day for a $300 gift certificate."

"Bragg Creek is an eclectic mix of folks. You have the professionals that live there and travel to the city, you have the artists and local entrepreneurs that work and live from home, as well as the artisans and Brewmasters. You name it, we have every sort of profession and person in Bragg Creek and we all love our town." said Olsen.

The day will feature live music for everyone to enjoy from the Leanne Lightfoot Trio, The Backyard Betties, The Treblemakers, featuring Brian Frank, Magnolia Buckskin, Tim Babey & Lost Prospectors and Wendy Walker and the Tribe that will serenade the audience with the soulful sounds of Cree Métis and Mi'kmaq First Nations heritage.

A face painter will be on hand for children.

The free event is set to go in Bragg Creek on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
