The Calgary YMCA offer to provide free use of their facilities for Cochrane residents and SLS Centre members will continue for the time being.
"We’ll keep it open until the emergency is lifted, and then we will reassess," says Dean Paddock, Calagry YMCA vice-president of community engagement.
Yesterday, the Calgary YMCA opened its doors for Cochrane residents and SLS Centre members to use any of its six facilities free of charge with ID or proof of membership.
Both town and SLS Centre officials praised the move, calling it a warm and generous offer.
