Cochrane RCMP alert drivers to potential delays

Cochrane RCMP are warning drivers about the potential for delays west of our community. 

A carbon tax protest has been staged near the Petro-Canada/A&W restaurant at the Hwy. 22-TransCanada interchange south of Cochrane.

Mounties are asking drivers to consider alternate routes if travel is required.

"Alberta RCMP and partner organizations will be present to ensure that the impact on travellers will be minimized and to ensure traffic disruption will not affect public safety."

Protesters intend to stay at that location until their goals are achieved.
