The body of a 29-year-old man was recovered in the water at the Seebee Dam on Aug. 20 and not deemed to be suspicious.

The Victoria, B.C. man was located by Kananaskis Search and Rescue on the second day of the search. It was initiated the day previous at 3:10 p.m. and involved members of the Cochrane and Morley RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, and Search and Rescue. Helicopters were also utilized.

The traveller was reported to be overdue to reach his destination of Calgary. It had been reported that he was camping in the area near Seebee Dam.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased," says Cpl. Gina Slaney, RCMP media relations officer.

Slaney says no further information will be released surrounding the man's death.
