As work continues at one of Cochrane's busiest intersections, the Town of Cochrane is warning residents of some upcoming traffic impacts at the Hwy 1A/22 Interchange.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 17 and 18 from 6th Ave West and the Historic Ranche access on Hwy 1A for barrier placement. The work area will be flagger controlled.

Starting next week, workers will be transporting materials along the east and south segments of the detour roundabout. This will continue throughout the summer and the crossings will be flagger controlled.

On April 23, the parking lot at the Historic Ranche will close for utility construction. There will be alternate parking available in front of the Alliance Church on Glenbow Drive. Pedestrians and cyclists will be rerouted through a designated pathway detour.

Work began on the $95-million interchange upgrade last year.
