Car enthusiasts are invited to shine up their vehicles and join Cruise Cochrane as they parade through town on Canada Day.

Organizer, Jim Messner says that Cochranites can look forward to seeing American hot rods, classics, and muscle cars of all makes and models to kick off the Nation's 154th birthday festivities.

"We're going to stage at the old Canadian Tire parking lot on 5th Avenue at Griffin Road," says Messner. "We'll be there at 11:30 [a.m.]on Thursday morning."

As part of the staging, participants are encouraged to decorate their cars and show their Canadian pride.

"Anyone that wants to join us, we certainly encourage that," says Messner. "We encourage them to dress up, decorate their cars and bring their Canadian Flags."

Messner says that there will actually be two separate parades cruising through town.

"One of them is sort of the East side of Town and the other is one is sort of the West side," says Messner. "It's a great opportunity to help celebrate Canada Day and take part in the festivities."
