The Tier One Junior "B" Rocky View Silvertips journeyed to the Olds Sports Complex last night and brought back a convincing 15-9 win over the Mavericks.

The win moves the 'Tips one point past the Mavericks into second place in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League's Central Division.

There's plenty of RMLL action for Rocky View teams this weekend. In Tier Two Junior B action, the Rocky View Rage are in Calgary tonight (June 7) to play the Wranglers.

There's a rare inter-locking game between the local Junior Ladies and Senior Ladies squads.  The Rocky View Junior Ladies Silvertips will square off with the Rocky View Senior Ladies Attack for the first time tonight in Airdrie's Plainsman Arena at 8 p.m.

The 8 p.m. game should be an interesting one as the Junior Silvertips are playing against four former team members who now play for the Attack.  Former 'Tips coaches Lesley Hawke and Jordie Thomson and two former captains Shae Lewis and Jessie Crossley are now on the Attack roster.

On Sunday, the Silvertips have an important match against the Calgary Chill in Totem One of the SLS Family Sports Centre. The ball drops at 7 p.m.

The Tips have been on the hunt for their first win against the Chill in several years and are determining to make it a reality on Sunday. The Chill has been the club's Achilles' heel for several years.

Currently, the Tips' Nolan Oakey is the leading scorer in the RMLL central division with 43 points in nine games.
