UPDATE:

A missing Cochrane resident has been located.

Cochrane RCMP say 53-year-old Shawn Atwell has been found safe and well.

The RCMP wish to thank the public for their help in locating Atwell.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

Cochrane RCMP is seeking public assistance in helping them locate Shawn Atwell who was last seen early yesterday evening (August 29).

Due to communications around the time of his disappearance, RCMP shares they are concerned about the 53-year-old Cochrane resident's welfare.

Shawn Atwell is described as a Caucasian male, balding with blond hair, goatee, blue eyes, 175 cm tall, weighing roughly 200 pounds. He has a full sleeve tattoo on one arm and half a sleeve on the other. 

A silver 2005 Ford Explorer with Alberta licence plate BYC 9402 is also missing and it is believed to be with Shawn.
