Town councillor Marni Fedeyko has requested an update on the legalities resulting from the wastewater emergency that rocked Cochrane last October.

Town CAO Mike Derricott said administration will provide council an update but believes there may not be much more information to provide at this point.

"It's quite a complicated file related to the people involved, including Alberta Environment, etc., given the proximity to the waterway, and so there's a lot that has to be taken into account with the investigation and the subsequent processes," said Derricott, "but happy to ensure that council gets an update when there's been a substantial change in that."

Councillor Fedeyko sought the information after expressing concern with the growing costs of some town infrastructure projects and their affordability for residents.
