Cochranites will soon be driving across the new bridge.

The Town of Cochrane is reporting that work on the new Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge is on schedule saying the "second crossing over the Bow River is a critical priority" for the town.

The bridge is part of phase two of a three phased project to connect the north and south sides of Cochrane.

The new bridge is expected to be fully operational this fall.

Phase three of the project includes the extension of James Walker Trail from River Heights Dr to Southbow which is in conjunction with the new Southbow Landing Development.

There's no timeline on that project yet.
