Gathering to remember Kelly

Friends and family will be gathering next month to remember Kelly Carson, the larger-than-life man who was loved by many.

A celebration of his life is being held on June 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ducks on the Roof, #10 205 3 Ave.

A notice has been posted by his wife Tracey and family inviting family and friends to share stories, memories and some hearty laughs.

"Dress is casual, but in true Kelly spirit, loud, colourful vacation attire is strongly recommended," the notice states.

The community was shaken when we lost Kelly on Apr. 22 after a brief and courageous battle against cancer.

Kelly was named the first executive director of the chamber in 2020. He and his Tracey were quick to become true Cochranites.  He was genuine, passionate, and fiercely committed to getting results and making our community an even better place.
