The Rocky Rams may have scored first but it was their only goal in last night's 7-1 win by the Cochrane Generals.

On the road, the Gens rebounded to tie the HJHL south semifinal series 2-2.

Their top scoring line of Patrick Forde, Tristan Ripplinger, and Kyle Crosbie found their mark, scoring four of the seven goals. Forde, the league's MVP, collected five points on the night.

Jordan Marks, Zac Fulton, and Jordan Butz sniped the other three goals.

The Rams goaltending duties were split between Zaiden Hansen, who was almost unbeatable last weekend, and Devon Caroll. Davyn LaRocke turned away 28 of 29 shots for the Gens.

Play got rougher as the game progressed, and by the end, 96 minutes in penalties were assessed--45 by the Gens and 51 by the Rams.

The best-of-seven series returns to the Cochrane Arena Thursday night (Feb. 24). Game time is 7:45 p.m.
