The ground has been broken for the 35,000 sq. ft. two storey flagship building in Greystone Place.

It's one of eight buildings over five acres in what's intended to become the place to be in Cochrane.

"We're really trying to create a vibrant community, live, work, play and we want to create the trendiest districts in Cochrane that will have a lot of outdoor patios and coffee bars and new retail," says Harish Consul, CEO and founder of the Ocgrow Group. "We announced several new businesses over the weekend and there are many more to come."

A dental group, daycare and luxury spa are among those first tenants.

In the end, it will add over 300,000 sq. ft. of new retail commercial to Greystone, located in close proximity to the SLS Centre.

It's located on the waterfront of the man-made water pond and adjacent to Greystone's extensive pathway system.

"It offers beautiful views and is a very exciting development for Cochrane," says Consul.

Ocgrow has been investing in Cochrane for 30 years and continues to be bullish on the growth of Cochrane.  Among their projects is River Heights Place on the southside. They've since become a large part of the Greystone community being developed by Burnswest Properties.

"Now we have a very trendy part of Cochrane, which we're really leading, and we're coming up with some really cool designs. The key is to attract the best tenants. You have the right mix of tenants that creates that vibrancy and that's why we're handpicking every business coming into Greystone Place."

The first businesses are expected to open next summer.
