With the holiday season wrapping up, many Cochranites are taking down the lights and tinsel. If you had a real Christmas tree this year, it's super easy to recycle it.

Simply drag it to the curb.

"Collection will run from January 2-15 on your regular waste and recycling collection day," reads a post from the Town of Cochrane. "Please place your tree one metre from your black and blue carts."

For a tree to be properly recycled, all decorations, lights and netting needs to be removed prior to pick-up.

"If you miss the curbside collection, bring your tree to the Eco Centre."
