Grab your cowboy boots and hats! The annual Lions Spring Barn Dance happens this Saturday night (Apr. 20) at the Cochrane Lions Event Centre.

Lions president Chris Connon says by popular demand, TC & Company is back to charge the atmosphere and fill the dance floor. They've attracted sellout crowds in the past.

"This year we've gone back to our roots at the spring dance," he says. "We started with TC & Company and they're flying in from Arizona just in time for the dance because they didn't want to miss it."

The dance has become a tradition for the past seven years as a way to shake off the winter blues. It's also an important fundraiser for the Labour Day Weekend Rodeo and Cochrane Search and Rescue, who lend a hand at the function.

"It's our way to give back to another well-deserving group in town that is always out and about and serving the community," says Connon.

At this point, tickets are available online or at the door. But fair warning; they've had to turn people away before, and right about now sales typical soar.

"As it stands right now, tickets will be at the door but if online sales take off, your best bet is online," he says.
