A woman was stranded in Waiparous after having tires slashed.

Cochrane RCMP received a complaint on December 2, 2016 from a local woman who was parked along Highway 40, 33 km north of Highway 1A in the Waiparous area.  It was reported to RCMP that the woman's car was broken into, wallet stolen, and tires slashed, while she was out snowshoeing.

Cochrane RCMP, Corporal Troy Savinkoff, says at this point there are no suspects.

"At this point they have no witnesses and we are asking if anyone has seen anything suspicious in the Waiparous area on December 2, on Highway 40 to contact the Cochrane RCMP Detachment."

Everything in the stolen wallet was cancelled and the stranded woman was picked up by a good samaritan driving past.
