The 25th edition of Footstock is less than two weeks away and the excitement for Cochrane’s biggest race event is at an all-time high.

Many of the races are quickly filling and the Footstock Kids' Triathlon has completely sold out with 500 youth ready to swim, bike and run.

With the rising number of participants also comes the need for extra volunteers during the Sunday, June 2 event.

“There definitely are opportunities for volunteers still,” says Coordinator Meredith McMorran.

“I would say one of the most important jobs that we still have open positions for is the bike course Marshals in our kids' triathlon. For the bike portion of their triathlon, we really work hard to make sure we keep them safe while they're on the roads in Cochrane and so we'd like to have a lot of Marshalls along that bike route.”

Other positions available for volunteers include morning finish line set-up and swim lap counter for the kids’ triathlon.

Footstock volunteers also receive lunch, a t-shirt and a swag bag.
