This weekend Take a Bow Theatre will be putting on its first ever youth musical. There will be three showings one on Friday, Mar. 8 and two on Saturday, Mar. 9. The last show is nearly sold out.

President Roxanne McCallum says the community theatre group decided that after having so many kids show up to their all-ages auditions, it was time to dedicate a show to youth only.

"We did Snow Queen pantomime, so some of it was to build off an existing set that we already had because we weren't sure how it was going to go and we didn't want to come up with a whole new production idea," she says. "This way we were able to continue some of our ideas from the December show."

The show will have 21 kids on stage, ages 8 to 14 years, who have all memorized 11 songs and full scripts. The show will be under an hour long and has no intermission.
