The Cochrane and Area Humane Society has kicked off the Lucky Paws Raffle to help offset the rising costs of rescuing animals.

“We set up this raffle as it's been a little bit of a slower year for us,” says Tiffany Beaton, communications coordinator for the Humane Society.  “Not only can you win some money, but you'll be a pot of gold for an animal here at the shelter as well.”

Running until March 17, 2024, she says the money raised from the raffle will go a long way.

“The amount of puppies and the number of medical cases and the amount of behaviour cases that we've been getting where we're having animals for such a long period of time really depletes our finances.”

“We're here to help and we want to help every animal that we can so we would always appreciate the help.”

There are three prizes available for the raffle including a grand prize of $2,500 cash.
