'Tis the season of giving, and the Cochrane & Area Events Society (CAES) has announced the return of their annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign.

All in support of the Cochrane Activettes' Share Your Christmas Hamper Program, this heartwarming celebration will take place at Canadian Tire where families will once again witness the transformation of the automotive waiting room into Santa's magical realm.

This year, CAES has partnered with Found Bookstore to embellish the set for a special photo shoot, with the theme of "Storytime with Santa."

Erika Richards, with CAES says "It's a free picture with Santa in exchange for dropping off a toy or money or food to support less fortunate people, and it's just something that the Activettes do every year and we get involved with it, and we even get the Calgary Hitmen, we go to the Teddy Bear Toss, and we bring back stuffies from that."

They will have a COLT bus and a Southland school bus on site with a goal of stuffing both buses.

"Even though we know everybody is struggling, everybody is paying rent and watching their food bill go through the roof. I am so touched by how people manage to contribute and are so generous every year." says Richards.

Residents are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, a new, unwrapped gift, gift card or cash to the event.

Pre-registration is encouraged to secure your photo spot.

Stuff-A-Bus will go on Saturday, Dec. 9th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
