The Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying three men being treated as potential witnesses to a string of business break-ins and ATM thefts in the Bragg Creek, Priddis and Turner Valley areas between Sept. 29 and Oct. 22.

"We are looking at speaking to these three individuals as we believe that they might have information about these crimes," says Cpl. Troy Savinkoff of the Cochrane RCMP.

The RCMP believe these break-ins are related, and the Cochrane and Turner Valley RCMP detachments are coordinating their investigations.

"They've all been focused around bars," he explains."They've stolen the ATMs, stolen liquor and done damage to these stores.

The accompanying vandalism isn't typical for these types of break-ins and has further aggravated the targeted businesses.

"It's beyond what's typically done in a theft," he says. "They've done some pretty ridiculous things in the stores when they're in there."

"The residents of Turner Valley, Bragg Cree and Priddis are understandably upset about these thefts and we're doing our best to try to investigate these files and bring them to a successful conclusion."
