The second of a three-day mock disaster emergency has wrapped up.

Late this afternoon, the command was turned over to Canada Task Force 2 and Search and Rescue Alberta by Cochrane's emergency management team. The ECC is located in the Cochrane RancheHouse.

About 200 Search and Rescue Alberta volunteers are involved in the exercise in partnership with Cochrane.

It involves a wildfire scenario that saw door knocking and the mock evacuation of residents take place on the west side of town.

More door knocking and emergency scenarios will be practiced tomorrow before it wraps up late in the afternoon.
