The Cochrane RCMP along with fellow first responders will be observing a moment of reflection to honour and pay tribute to a fellow officer who lost her life in the line of duty, as well as all those slain in Nova Scotia's recent tragedy.

Constable Heidi Stevenson was a 23-year veteran RCMP officer whose life was tragically taken on April 19, 2020, in the largest mass shooting in Canadian history.

Tomorrow (Friday, April 24) at 11 am The Cochrane RCMP will have officers in Red Serge at the Cochrane Downtown Cenotaph observing the moment.

The Cochrane RCMP is encouraging community members to stay at home and not gather publicly.

They instead encourage anyone wanting to pay tribute to also observe a moment of reflection from their own homes.
