Both eastbound lanes on Hwy. 1 have now reopened near Dead Man's Flats fire.
Drivers have been experiencing delays since late Friday as emergency crews continue to battle a large wildfire west of Cochrane.
According to Canmore RCMP, travel is still at a reduced speed in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 1 but both lanes are open.
The westbound lanes are also open.
Mounties are recommending drivers to be cautious in the area as the thick smoke is affecting visibility.
Alberta Wildfire has classified the fire as "being held".
Fire crews remain on scene.
