It’s never too early to plan out those summer camping sites.
Parks Canada has announced camping reservations for 2024 in Alberta open this month, months earlier than in 2023. The closest to Cochrane, Banff National Park reservations begin on January 26 at 8 a.m., with backcountry camping available on January 29 at 8 a.m.
The new system starts on January 24 for Elk Island, Waterton Lakes, and Wood Buffalo National Parks.
Jasper National Park opens on January 30 at 8 a.m., and backcountry reservations start on February 1 at 8 a.m.
In BC, Yoho National Park opens on January 23, while Glacier and Mount Revelstoke National Parks open on January 19.
Ontario Parks open on February 5.
