Changes are being proposed to add more homes and further reduce special industrial land-use in Greystone.

The Greystone phase 7 land-use amendment application proposes to change approximately 1.99 acres of land from Special Industrial District (I-S) to Residential Low-Density District (RLD), and approximately 3.89 acres from Special Industrial to Residential Mix District (R-MX).

During its abbreviated meeting last night, town council set the date for the public hearing for Feb. 12.

The council meeting was limited to just the one item after spending five hours on two lengthy public hearings for the proposed Rolling Trails Area Redevelopment Plan and Southbow Landing land-use amendment.

Among the items postponed was a notice of motion from Councillor Susan Flowers to have town administration prepare a report weighing the pros and cons of seeking city status.
