Alberta's own country music duo, Nice Horse stopped by 91.5FM CochraneNow to show off their brand-new song "Seeing Ghosts".

Brandi and Katie have a busy weekend ahead as they have been nominated for numerous Country Music Alberta Awards.

“It's honestly, it's so special when you get to be nominated for so many awards by the province that has built you as an artist,” says Brandi. “It’s really special this year because we are actually performing at the awards as well.”

The 13th annual Country Music AB Awards go live Sunday at 7 p.m. WATCH HERE.

To go along with the nominations, the duo has also seen worldwide recognition after lending their music to the hit Netflix show, My Life With The Walter Boys, which was shot in the Cochrane area.

“It was so wild! When they choose the music for those sorts of shows, it's quite a bit in advance. So that had been done a year prior to the show actually releasing. So you kind of forget that it's happening.”

“Then all of a sudden it was out and it was the number one show worldwide on Netflix. We were getting a lot of messages from people all around the world talking about how they heard our song.”

Nice Horse’s new song “Seeing Ghosts” is available on streaming services starting tomorrow (Friday) and their anticipated new album will be released in the following months.
