Cochrane Fire Services is inviting residents to take part in a community-wide survey.

The survey is open to residents as of Wednesday, April 5 to complete an online survey regarding the Cochrane Fire Master Plan.

Fire Chief Shawn Polley says, “Let’s Talk Cochrane is an opportunity for citizens to be able to weigh-in on the future of the Fire Services. It is a ten-year master plan that we are rolling out.”

The Fire Master Plan was approved in the 2023 budget and looks to identify the challenges and plan for the future development within the fire department and community.

The online survey is part of the assessment and information-gathering phase, and the community is invited to provide feedback and assess service delivery, community safety, and support offered by Cochrane Fire Services.

Polley says, “Looking forward into the future to help shape some of the future decisions that we need to make over the next ten years here at the department. The best part for us is we really want to focus on a lot of the community consultation. That is a really important theme for us is consultation and conversation.”

The Lets Talk Cochrane survey will remain open until April 26.
