Icy roads and snowfall accumulation have kept Cochrane RCMP busy on December 23.

Dozens of accidents have been reported prompting RCMP to say avoid traveling if possible.

Corporal Beth Hoskin says there have been numerous accidents in the Scott Lake Hill area as well off Highway 1

"There are a number of vehicles in the ditch and there have been some minor collisions on Highway 1 as a result of the conditions, there was also a four vehicle accident on Highway 1A and Bearspaw Road, but that is cleared up now."

At 3:45 a number of previous vehicles that were blocking driving lanes at Scott Lake Hill, have now been removed. Crews are still working diligently to remove vehicles from ditch and clear the scene.

Cpl. Hoskin adds at least injuries have been kept to a minimum.

"No major injuries, just some broken bones."

No roads have been closed but Hoskin reminds residents to slow down, exercise extra caution, and leave lots of room between vehicles.

"Be mindful of conditions and drive slowly."
