Southern Alberta will get a good view Sunday night of what's called the "Full Flower Supermoon total lunar eclipse".

According to officials of the Rothney Observatory,  located near Priddis, AB, we'll be able to see it with the naked eye.

We'll miss the first 90 minutes of the Penumbral stage but get a great view of the remaining four hours.

Totality begins at 9:29 p.m., peaks at 10:11 p.m., and ends at 10:53 p.m. for a total of 84 minutes of a blood-red Moon display.

The Rothney Observatory is sold out for the occurrence.

The next supermoon isn't until Nov. 8.
