The teenaged driver in a fatal crash near Springbank in 2021 that claimed the lives of two other teens has been sentenced. 

The girl, who was 16 years old at the time of the incident, who can't be named was behind the wheel with three other teenagers, when her vehicle lost control and collided with a fence. 

Now 19, she was given two years' probation and a five-year driving prohibition in court in Calgary yesterday. 

The car reached 190 km/h when the driver lost control on July 15th, 2021. 

Two passengers who were not wearing seatbelts were ejected from the vehicle and killed and a third girl suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
