Cochrane and the surrounding areas are no longer under a fire advisory.

Rocky View County (RVC) Fire Services has lifted the advisory, which was put in place on March 23, 2021.

The precipitation over the last couple of days has led to improving conditions, and the area is no longer considered a high fire risk.

Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans in Rocky View County, and permit burning is once again allowed.

RVC Fire Services is reminding residents to always follow safe burning practices.

While the advisory has been lifted in the County, there may still be advisories or bans in neighbouring municipalities.

You can find more details on fire restrictions on the  Fire Bans & Advisories webpage.
