Jolly Old Saint Nick will be visiting with children safely via Zoom from his workshop in the North Pole, and there's still time to book your spot.

The Bragg Creek Community Association is hosting a Zoom with Santa this Saturday, December 12.

Christine Pollard is the Program and Events Manager with the Bragg Creek Community Association and she says that residents with ongoing internet issues will still be able to connect with Santa.

"Out here in Bragg creek and Area we have ongoing issues with internet service, specifically in the outlying residential areas," says Pollard. "The internet is much more reliable in the hamlet, so we are actually having the children come to the centre."

Pollard says that an outdoor kiosk will be set up at the Community Centre, with a strong internet connection to reach the North Pole.

"So, they won't be zooming from home," says Pollard. "There will be a kiosk set up outside of the front of our building where the children will be able to connect via zoom with Santa from the North Pole."

Due to provincial restrictions, all appointments will be outdoors and families book a timeslot to zoom with Santa, in a safe COVID compliant way.

"Everything is through Eventbrite," says Pollard."They'll have their tickets and can show our helper elf and everybody else will be asked to stay in their vehicles until their appointment time has come."

Due to Santa's busy schedule, each child will have a maximum of five minutes to chat with the big guy. Tickets are free of charge but must be booked ahead of time.
