Bragg Creek water skier competing to become world champ

Bragg Creek's own Megan Pelkey has qualified for the U21 Women’s Trick Finals at the 2023 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships in Mexico. 

Pelkey is going into the competition with 5440 points, sitting in eighth place and will compete in the finals on Saturday, June 17.

Fellow Canadian teammate Hannah Stopnicki will join her in the Women’s Trick Finals.

Pelkey is also competing today in the U21 Women’s Jump Prelims. She has already competed in the U21 Women’s Slalom Prelims and scored 2@12m/35off.

The 2023 IWWF World U21 Waterski Championships is taking place at Bocalaguna in Chapala, MEX from June 14-17.

The best U21 water skiers from around the word are competing to become World Champion.
