The design for the expansion and modernization of Bow Valley High School has been finalized, and the project is on schedule.

Yesterday, Alberta Infrastructure released the art renderings to Cochrane Now.

ACI Architecture, who also did the new Cochrane Protective Services Building, completed the design.

Brendan Procé, communications director for Alberta Infrastructure, confirmed the $55.1 million expansion is on budget and anticipated to be completed in late 2026.

When completed, the school will accommodate a student population of up to 1,425 students.

Rocky View Schools (RVS) officials say they are unable to confirm further details on the timeline at this point but will be sharing the information with the school's community when it's available.

Adriana LaGrange, Education minister at the time, named the long sought after expansion as one of the province's 15 school project priorities on Mar. 4, 2022.
