Due to the severe cold weather, all schools in the Rocky View Schools division will be shut down for students on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Bus services are also cancelled. However, online schools like Discovery Trails and Summit Trails will maintain their regular class schedules.
RVS high schools, identified as Diploma exam writing locations for today, will remain open for all students taking Diploma exams.
There will be no bus services available to these schools.
Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) schools in Cochrane, Airdrie and Chestermere are also closed today as bus service has been cancelled.
However schools within the CCSD in Calgary remain open.
