It's time to put on our thinking caps to determine who should next be named to the Order of Cochrane.
Nominations are now open for the 2023 Order of Cochrane, the highest honour that can be bestowed upon an individual by Cochrane town council. They will be accepted until Mar. 28.
The annual award celebrates individuals whose unwavering commitment, visionary spirit and exemplary leadership have left an indelible mark on the community's development.
Nominating a deserving individual is straightforward. Nominators are invited to complete either an online or hardcopy nomination form, articulating how the nominee embodies Cochrane's vision, demonstrates exceptional leadership and has significantly contributed to the Cochrane’s enduring legacy.
Town council wills elect the recipient from a list of nominees by a secret ballot.
The award will be presented at a council meeting later in 2024.
